Cambodia has been involved in the past decades in various internal and international conflicts, which led to various waves of refugees seeking asylum in neighboring countries, particularly Thailand. The stability emerging from the demise of the Khmer Rouge and the admission to ASEAN augurs well for the end of refugee movements. Migrant workers from Cambodia (over 200,000) are present in Thailand, mostly in an irregular situation. | ||
